The electioneering period is over. Kudos to everyone who participated in the contest, we are all winners. The crew of SEKERE TV, a non-profit online tv channel on 20th of July presented a certificate of appointment to Hon. Kayode Omiyale - the APC chairmanship candidate in Yaba LCDA for the forthcoming L.G. elections in Lagos State. According to Mr. M.O. Ashaju, a consultant to SEKERE TV, "Hon. My Opinion as regards the upcoming Local Government Election I welcome you once again to another sensitive period in our environment. I believe you are set and ready to elect your  candidates to their various positions of power but before you dash out on D-day kindly take your time to reflect on this article. I think this is a time for us  to engage in a  self cum societal  reflection and evaluation of the current state of each wards under the control of an elected Chairman and Councillor respectively. -What development have you witnessed in your environment in the past 8 years. - How many youths of your wards are gainfully employed by the local Government Area? - Is the so called councillor transparent or when last did he/she update/ report to you about  his stewardship? Do we  truly have a Councillor? A time to rethink and justify the reason why you have to waste your life on the Chairman that has been imposed on the populace by the undemocratic policy of they political party.

Christiana Omotine Akhigbe, an HND 2 student of Yaba College Of Technology who emerged winner of the keenly/openly contested FACE OF MAKOKO at the last edition of Makoko Community Day, some days ago paid a courtesy visit to the APC chairmanship candidate in Yaba LCDA, Hon. Kayode Omiyale. During the visit, Miss Makoko as popularly called in her words said; "my dear people in Yaba LCDA and Lagos State at Large.
